Indonesian Mother’s Day; HARI IBU, plays a special role in Indonesian history, culture, society, and is celebrated on December 22. It was established by President Sukarno in 1953. to commemorate the anniversary of the opening day of the 1928 Indonesian Women Congress, held in the city of Yogyakarta and attended by representatives of thirty feminist organizations. The Congress focused on the improvement of women’s rights in marriage, education and women’s empowerment.

Indonesian Mother’s Day was originally intended to celebrate the spirit of Indonesian women. Currently Mother’s Day focuses on expressing love and gratitude to mothers. On this day, Indonesian mothers are traditionally presented with gifts.

“SIRIUS New Paintings 2017”
Exhibition by Sirius
7th – 30th December 2017

Salam Budaya,

I would extend high appreciation to Mr. Sirius who willingly brings his unique talents and visions to life through paintings exhibition, titled “Sirius New Paintings 2017”, held from 7th – 30th December 2017 at Arma Terrace, Ubud.
Being in a close contact with nature, social, and cultural environment in a small hamlet in Kusamba, Klungkung, for decades,-This really had an influence on him. The paintings he did were an expansion on natural beauties, but more connected to the Light Streams, the life-enhancing energy in just about every aspect of the living environments.
It is from this point that he, with inexhaustible passion, transforms his commitment to Light Streams to the most splendid interpretation in color patterns that it can be delicate and sensitive expression. Only in this way can he express his search for direct mystical experience.- an Homage to the Light.
I believe that Sirius has expressed his artistic intensity, his creative ideas and principally his true-self expression in paintings. Good Luck!
