This art exchange project was initiated by Antonius Kho, Indonesia and Sundar Yadav, Nepal, the first exhibition held at Mithila Yain Gallery, Kathmandu, Nepal, December 2018 ago, only Antonius Kho and Sundar Yadav.  After that, the exhibition will be continued at the ARMA Art Project this month, at this exhibition not only Antonius Kho and Sundar Yadav, but there are some Nepalese and Indonesian artists who participated in this exhibition, and later in July that will be continued at Mithila Yain Gallery, Kathmandu, Nepal.

Antonius Kho has carried out this art exchange project since 2006 until now, with countries in Asia and Africa regions, such as Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, the Philippines, Taiwa, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia, China, India, Sri Lanka, etc., until now it's been the 20th time.  The mission and vision of the art exchange project is to introduce Indonesian contemporary art in other countries and vice versa, to introduce contemporary art from other countries in Indonesia.

The opening of art exhibition will be opened by Mr. Agung Rai (The Founder of ARMA) on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 6 pm at ARMA Museum, Jl. Raya Pengosekan, Ubud 80571.

Indo - Sri Lanka Artist Exchange Program is a concept of renowned Indonesian Artist Antonius Kho and Sri Lankan Artist Chathuranga Biyagama as a project to develop the Contemporary Art opportunities between the two countries.

The idea of this project is to collaborate 6 leading Indonesian artists head by renowned Indonesian international artist Antonius Kho with four (04) Sri Lankan upcoming artists lead by Sri Lankan International Artist Chathuranga Biyagama.

Antonius Kho was born in Klaten, Central Java, Indonesia. He first studied Arts under the guidance of artist Barli, Bandung, Indonesia, Academy of Fine Art, Bandung, Indonesia and completed his Masters from the Academy of Fine Art – FH Cologne, Cologne, Germany, by Prof. Schaffmeister & M.Brinkhaus.

He is a Master Artist who works hard to develop Contemporary Arts in the Asian region steadily. For the last ten years, Antonius Kho has been steadfastly devoted to organizing and participating in an astounding number of art exchange programs with artists from 16 different countries (and counting) throughout South East Asia. Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Korea, Singapore, Cambodia, Bangladesh, China, Madagascar, Reunion Islands, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Bhutan, India and Mauritius are some of the countries who successfully participated with the Artist exchange programs organized by Antonius Kho.

As a leading International Artist and an artist who has organized and participated more than Seventy five (75) International Art events and programs it is an opportunity to Sri Lankan artists to participate in an inter country Artist Exchange program lead by Antonius Kho . The program Indonesia and Sri Lanka Artist Exchange Program 2019 launches in Sri Lanka as a result of inviting Mr. Antonius Kho for a joint venture by Sri Lankan Artist Chathuranga Biyagama with the vision of taking Asian Art talents to the International Forums.

This program is organizing as a joint project between Indonesia and Sri Lanka to develop the Contemporary art activities between the two countries. Antonius Kho and Chathuranga Biyagama from Sri Lanka organized this program as a project to develop Artistic and cultural collaborations between Indonesia and Sri Lanka. Gallery Four Life (Pvt) Ltd, The Lionel Wendt Art Gallery, Sri Lanka and The ARMA Museum, Bali, Indonesia collaborates together in this wonderful Art project.

At the first stage of this program, 6 Indonesian Artists Head by Mr. Antonius Kho will visit Sri Lanka with their art works and perform a group art exhibition with the participation of the 6 Sri Lankan Artists lead by Chathuranga Biyagama at Lionel Wendt Gallery, Colombo 7, Sri Lanka from 28th January 2019 to 2nd February 2019.

In the Second stage of this program, the relevant 6 Sri Lankan Artists will visit Indonesia with their Art works and perform a group art exhibition with the participation of the 6 Indonesian artists who have exhibited in Sri Lanka. The Indonesian exhibition is scheduled from 28 th February 2019 to 4st March 2019 at ARMA Museum, Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.
